Cover Reveal!!!

●•●●•● COVER REVEAL ●•●●•

I'm extremely excited to reveal the gorgeous cover for my upcoming Young Adult contemporary - PUSH ME, PULL ME! I think my publisher, Limitless Publishing, did an awesome job designing this beautiful cover, don't you? I just adore it! Especially the cover model they chose for Ruby, my main character. She is exactly as I imagined her!

"Sometimes holding on hurts more than letting go..."

a novel by Vanessa Garden
●•●●•● SYNOPSIS ●•●●•●

Since Ruby Milton’s mother committed suicide, she’s forgotten what it’s like to be seventeen.

Saddled with taking care of her toddler brother and alcoholic father, Ruby has no time for fun. She also can’t shake the growing resentment she feels for her mother’s selfish decision, which left her unable to grieve without anger and regret.

Then she meets blue-eyed musician Byron Black, who challenges everything she believes.

Byron refuses to let anyone control his life—or his death. When he left the city behind, he was in search of somewhere where nobody knew his secret. What he didn’t expect was to meet a beautiful redhead whose views conflict so completely with his own. But as their romance deepens, he begins to doubt his choices and decides to return to the city…for one last chance.

When Byron disappears, Ruby will stop at nothing to track him down.

Upon finding Byron, Ruby discovers his devastating secret, and a battle of wills begins. Byron doesn’t want her to know this part of him. He has to deal with it by himself, even though the idea of losing her tears him apart.

Will they be able to see each other through the darkness?

Or should they save their hearts and just let go?

Cover reveal for Book 2 - IMPULSE!

So... at long last the time has come to reveal the cover for IMPULSE, Book 2 in the Submerged Sun Series.
Now, after Harlequin Teen Australia gave CAPTIVATE such a gorgeous cover (see previous post below) I was certain that no cover could ever come close to being as beautiful.
But I was wrong!!!
drum roll please...
I am seriously in love with this cover. I cannot stop staring at it.

Oh, and before I forget, the all important blurb:
When Miranda Sun returns to Marin on the eve of her eighteenth birthday, this time of her own free will, she quickly learns that her worst fears have been realised. The glittering underwater city is not as she had left it, nor too is Marko, the young king who has dominated her thoughts and heart for the last twelve months since leaving Marin.
Miranda, however, has not made the journey to Marin alone, and now must contend with not only Marko’s evil brother Damir but more surprisingly her sister Lauren who has an agenda of her own. Marko’s power begins to wane and with cracks beginning to show in the domed Utopian city, and veiled danger lurking everywhere, she quickly learns that in this dazzling city full of beautiful people she can trust no-one but herself.
If Miranda wants to survive, she must decide between the hardened sensibilities in her head and the hungers of her heart. Will her decision cause more heartache or can she help to save Marko’s throne?

IMPULSE comes out December 1st and if you haven't already, you can add it on Goodreads here:

The Submerged Sun Series is now a trilogy!

I've got great news! Harlequin Teen Australia has just signed me up for two more books in the Submerged Sun series.
Impulse, book two in the series, will follow Captivate, and is set to be released this December 1st - the first day of the Australian summer which is just so perfect.
I am so excited for Miranda's return to the glittering underwater city of Marin where love, lust, secrets, danger and a masquerade ball awaits her.

And I'm even more excited for you to read it.
I'll post a link to Goodreads as soon as I have it, but for now, I'm off to celebrate by making a Banoffee pie!

And maybe popping open a bottle of this:

Very First Captivate Fan Art!

This short post is very dear to my heart, because to have inspired a piece of art (a BEAUTIFUL piece of art) from your very own book is such a special feeling that I just had to share it.

I woke up this morning to find a lovely tweet from the very talented Eyterna, sharing a gorgeous watercolour-anime fan art of a scene from Captivate!

It's a picture of Miranda seated at a table holding Marko's hand and let me tell you, she has captured this scene perfectly - the mood, the colours, and especially Miranda. It sends me right back to Captivate's underwater city, Marin (and, I have to admit, it gave me a little sentimental tear in my eye when I first saw it).

Here it is in all its gorgeousness:

Isn't it just amazing?

A huge thank you, Eyterna <3

If you'd like to check out more of Eyterna's amazing art, you can do so here:

Have a great day, all, and happy reading :)

Cover Reveal - CARRIER

Well, the time has come to share the gorgeous cover that the amazing design team at Harlequin have created for CARRIER, my YA Post-apoc Sci-fi set in the Australian outback!
But first, here's a little bit about CARRIER:

For fans of The Walking Dead and The Hunger Games comes a YA novel about freedom, choice and family — and the terrifying disease that makes them mutually exclusive.

From the day she was born, Lena has viewed the world through the jagged window of a razor-wired fence. The hundred-acre property she shares with her mother in the Australian outback may keep her safe from the Y-Carrier disease, but it is no longer enough to hold Lena’s interest, and her mother’s increasingly tight grip on her free will is stifling.

Just as her curiosity blooms and her courage rises, she meets a boy through the fence — the first boy she has ever laid eyes on. His name is Patrick and he comes with a dangerous yet irresistible invitation of adventure beyond the fence, an invitation to which Lena cannot say no.

But Lena’s newfound freedom is short-lived and she soon discovers that the Y-Carrier disease is not the only enemy she faces on the outside. Her new enemies want something Lena has, and they are willing to do anything to get it...

And now for the cover...

*drum roll*

I know I've said it about a thousand times, but Harlequin Australia create the most amazing covers and to now have two (Captivate also) that I'm absolutely thrilled with is more than a writer could ever wish for.
CARRIER will be out 1st March with Escape Publishing (Harlequin Australia's digital-first line). Only a month and a half to go! I'm so excited!

If you'd like to add CARRIER to your reading list on Goodreads, here's the link:
